Schedule: FULLTIME; Tuesday-Saturday, 12 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Specialist in Green Bay to assist drivers when they experience equipment issues and breakdowns. The Fleet Maintenance Specialist will determine the best solution to move forward and coordinate diagnostics and repairs for equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming calls and messages from drivers when they experience truck and trailer issues.
- Provide guidance and temporary solutions to drivers in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and identify the best way to proceed.
- Review detailed repair estimates.
- Create and update work orders about the status of repairs and vendors.
Skills and qualifications:
- Technical degree in diesel technology preferred but not required.
- One plus years of diesel or automotive repair experience.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
