As a Lead SW Architect - Cloud Solutions here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and technical excellence on Cloud Solution team within the Security and Access Solutions business. You will be responsible for driving cloud architecture across our portfolio, ensuring high-performance, scalable, and reliable cloud-based solutions. Your expertise in cloud architecture and security will be instrumental in maintaining and advancing our position at the forefront of cloud technology.
You will report directly to our Director of Software Engineering - Cloud Solutions and you'll work out of our Atlanta, GA or Pittsford, NY locations on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development and implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring they meet security and compliance standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and architect cloud solutions. Your work will help safeguard our company's assets and protect sensitive information from potential threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud-Native Development
- Design and develop robust, scalable cloud-based systems leveraging microservices architecture.
- Implement service deployment leveraging orchestrated containerized applications and native PaaS services Data Management and Access
- Architect and implement secure data management solutions using systems such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Mongo DB.
- Develop systems enabling autonomous functionality, incorporating AI/ML models for decision-making and task execution.
- Implement automation pipelines for CI/CD processes, ensuring high availability and rapid feature deployment.
- Support autonomous operations through robust API-led development and real-time communication systems.
- Security and Compliance
- Design and maintain secure communication channels and access points for mission-critical Security systems.
- Collaboration and Agile Practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects, to align on project goals.
- Follow Agile methodologies, participating in kanban, sprints, and iterative development cycles.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering
- 5+ years of experience with cloud deployment and orchestration tools; experience with Kubernetes desired.
- 5+ years of experience with React, Redux and Node.js for full-stack development.
- Experience with SQL and document databases and cloud-native data tools.
- Good to have: Experience in Cross platform Mobile app technologies
Programming Proficiency
- Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, C# and Python...
- Capability to write secure and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
- Cloud and API Knowledge
- Deep understanding of cloud environments and API-led development strategies.
- Exposure to Access and Video technologies
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems such as Git.
- Practical knowledge of implementing zero-trust security models.
- Prior experience in Security Domain (Access, Intrusion OR/AND Video).
