Honeywell's ACST team is seeking a Lead Engineering Technician, for our Chandler, AZ location.

  • Citizenship Required: United States Citizenship
  • Clearance Required: Yes; you must either currently have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Telecommute: No - Teleworking not available for this position
  • Travel Required: Some travel required - 20%

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  1. Production Support:
    • Assist with assembly process and testing on the production floor to meet customer needs and timelines
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency
    • Collaborate with manufacturing staff to troubleshoot process issues and eliminate defects. Create detailed documentation of RCA analyses and corrective actions.
  2. Process Implementation and Stabilization:
    • Assist in developing and implementing manufacturing processes, procedures, and systems. Perform process analyses to identify areas for process improvement.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and staff to ensure process documentation (Work instructions, SOPs, etc.) is accurate and concise
  3. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to cost reduction and production efficiency
    • Implement continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and enhance productivity

U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

You must have:

  • Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or similar technical experience/certifications
  • 5 years of manufacturing floor experience, with at least 2 years as a technician and/or 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with CAD design, rapid prototyping, and fabrication
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work in cross-functional teams
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Yellow or Green Belt Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification and experience
  • Experience using MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced engineering support setting
  • Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical/electrical systems and thorough Root Cause Analyses
  • Practical experience working with engineering equipment
  • Wide experience supporting critical manufacturing
  • Experience stabilizing production environments after product launch
  • Continuous learning mindset and a passion for innovation skills
