The Large Market Group Sales Manager at Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort will be responsible for driving group business from 51+ rooms on peak. This key role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners, event planners, and industry influencers while managing negotiations and securing contracts for group bookings. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, skilled in client relationship management, and adept at working cross-functionally with marketing, events, and operations teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Group Business Development: Identify and pursue group business opportunities with a focus on bookings of 51+ rooms on peak.
- Client Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, corporate partners, event planners, and other industry influencers to expand market presence and drive sales.
- Negotiations & Contracts: Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable contract terms that align with the resort’s business objectives and profitability goals.
- Client Service Excellence: Respond to client inquiries, resolve concerns, and manage requests in a timely, professional manner to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, events, and operations teams to ensure seamless alignment of sales strategies with promotional efforts and operational capabilities.
- Sales Reporting: Provide accurate and timely sales reports, performance metrics, and market insights to management to evaluate business performance and sales strategies.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Negotiation & Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to negotiate, communicate, and foster positive interpersonal relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
- Results-Oriented: Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals with a focus on driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Revenue Management Understanding: Basic knowledge of revenue management principles, ensuring that pricing and business strategies maximize profitability.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in hotel sales or comparable experience within the hospitality or related industries.
- Market Knowledge & Networking: Well-connected within the US west region & International market(s) with a proven ability to build new relationships and expand the resort’s business network.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows to promote the resort and cultivate business opportunities.
