The Pittsburgh office of McGuireWoods is seeking a sharp, driven associate with 3–6 years of experience to join a national labor and employment practice known for its urgency, nuance, and strategic impact. This is front-line work—advising on executive mobility, litigating restrictive covenants, managing reputational risk, and supporting employment diligence and post-transaction integration in private equity and M&A deals.
You will work side-by-side with a partner known for handling sensitive, mission-critical matters where discretion and precision are paramount. You will be brought in early, trusted with meaningful responsibilities, and mentored with intention. You will be expected to move quickly, think strategically, and deliver under pressure to help clients solve complex problems in real time.

Qualified candidates will have experience with or interest in:
- Litigating restrictive covenants and trade secrets, including injunctive relief
- Executive mobility: onboarding, separations, and incentive arrangements
- Employment counseling on compliance, risk, and sensitive personnel issues
- M&A employment support: diligence, integration, and ongoing portfolio company support
- Internal investigation support involving whistleblower or reputational concerns
Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required. We welcome candidates considering relocation to Pittsburgh and will support both waive-in and bar exam admission paths.
