Position Overview

At Texas Roadhouse, we are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Network Engineer II to design, implement, and optimize our network infrastructure. As a Network Engineer II, you will be responsible for network architecture design, performance optimization, and ensuring the security and scalability of our network environment. Your strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and passion for automation will be crucial in driving our network infrastructure forward. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network connectivity, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network solutions to meet business requirements, showcasing your creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Optimize network performance and troubleshoot network issues with modern tools and develop automated processes to remediate persistence issues.
  • Implement network security measures to protect against threats, ensuring the utmost protection of our network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions effectively, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Embrace automation technologies and frameworks through NetDevOps to streamline network operations and enhance efficiency, showcasing your passion for innovation.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of network architecture and design principles.
  • Proficiency in network configuration, including VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rules.
  • Strong experience in optimizing network performance and troubleshooting network issues.
  • Strong experience in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Deep understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong experience with designing network automation frameworks and containers, such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and Puppet.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a similar network engineer role.
  • Required industry certifications such as CCNA, Cisco DevNet Associate, AZ-700 and/or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • Preferred certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cloud+, Cisco DevNet Professional, CCNP, CCIE, AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-720, AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Associate, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, CWNA, CWSP, CWDP, CWAP, MCSA.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in network engineering
