POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic inventory initiatives such as Inventory Optimization, Inventory Sharing and Technology deployment in support of established goals for inventory management and warehouse operations. This position will be responsible working closely with site Region Operations Supervisors, Warehouse Operations Managers, Category Managers and Procurement, to ensure that sufficient inventory is available at the best value while balancing risk and investment. The expectation of the position will be to support and promote Safety, Compliance, Customer Service, and Team initiatives in the workplace.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Category Managers and Transactional Buyers to provide materials and warehouse liaison support and synergy with sourcing strategy.
- Ensure departmental compliance with all policies and guidelines.
- Utilize data sets to provide reporting and visualizations in support of SCM and Power Delivery
- Assist as needed Power Delivery Warehouse Operations Managers
- Interface with Region Operations Supervisors and Material Specialists across Power Delivery to identify criticality of stock items, evaluate min/max levels and item descriptions and ensure Maximo data integrity.
- Provide training to customers as required for Inventory Management and Technology enhancement to warehouse operations.
- Work closely with Materials & Supplies Accounting to resolve inventory discrepancies and process concerns.
- Work with customers to develop and maintain strategy associated with base inventory, critical stocking, and planning.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience with materials management & inventory fundamentals preferred.
- Prior experience in warehousing operations and inventory control
- Working knowledge of Power Delivery material and its application
- Experience with Power BI, Visual Basic, SQL or other data visualization programs or programming language is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills to evaluate and establish inventory parameters and daily inventory transactions.
- Technically skilled in the use of Excel, Access, Maximo and Teams
- Demonstrated ability to utilize large data sets and create meaningful reports and visualizations preferred.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Strong organizational, time management, planning and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to perform and make sound decisions with limited supervision.

Additional Details:
- Travel – The position will require some travel (approximately 25%), including field visits and occasional overnight travel.
- Successful Candidate must live within or be willing to relocate within the Georgia Power electric utility footprint.
