Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Salary Range: $49,000 – $59,000/annual; plus, bonus eligibility
Summary: Coordinate and execute the inventory control process at golf club operations. A specialist in the analysis of inventory controls, inventory systems and operational procedures. Ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions and reconciliation. A leader of continuous efforts to develop and execute process improvements. Maintain system settings to accomplish efficient storage and delivery of materials throughout the life cycle of club components.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute the daily cycle counting process. Ensure audit compliance standards and reporting requirements are complete.
- Maintain accurate cycle count frequency data. Assist in the process to identify root causes of inventory variances.
- Track and report daily and cumulative accuracy results. Coordinate activities relative to physical inventories when required.
- Continuously evaluate and report the effectiveness of the inventory control process and procedures.
- Develop and recommend improvements that are efficient and effective. Create training materials and deliver training sessions.
- Encourage an environment of continuous improvement and efficient inventory controls.
- Coordinate with the department manager to execute the steps required to manage the product life cycle for all raw material components.
- Continuously evaluate storage and space requirements for new and aging components. Track issue methods and life cycle volumes to determine appropriate intervals of consolidation throughout product maturity.
- Coordinate the process to obsolete and destroy raw materials at the end of product life.
- Coordinate with the department manager to support the development, testing and improvements within the inventory control system.
- Assist with troubleshooting systemic issues with all inventory control applications.
- Coordinate and assist in the development efforts for new reporting requirements. Collaborate and support the technical team as required.
- Reconcile inventory exceptions or variances daily. Investigate root causes and apply problem solving techniques. Create and distribute departmental reporting requirements.
- Under direction of the department manager, execute special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- College coursework including basic computer sciences are a plus.
- 3-5 years experience with inventory controls and cycle count administration in a leadership capacity.
- Strong background with ERP and inventory management systems.
- Exposure to heat/cold within a typical warehouse environment. Alternating periods of sitting, standing, walking and climbing. Steel toe shoes and safety glasses are required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel. Exceptional typing and communication. Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing ERP systems and inventory control techniques.
