Position Overview

We’re looking for a Social Media Intern to help bring our brands to life across digital platforms. This role will focus on content creation, social media management, and storytelling for our student housing portfolio and New Here Coffee. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to key markets, capturing content that showcases the unique experiences at our student communities and coffee shops. If you’re passionate about social media, brand storytelling, and creating engaging content that resonates with Gen Z, this is the internship for you. 

What You Will Do

  • Assist in developing and executing data-driven social media content strategies for Core Spaces’ student housing portfolio and New Here Coffee, optimizing for engagement, reach, and conversion. 
  • Capture, edit, and produce high-quality photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms, utilizing editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, or similar). 
  • Travel to different markets to plan, shoot, and curate on-location content, ensuring brand consistency and leveraging local trends to drive audience engagement. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze performance metrics and refine creative strategies based on audience insights, platform algorithms, and emerging content formats. 
  • Manage and maintain content calendars in coordination with the social media team, ensuring strategic scheduling, A/B testing, and alignment with brand voice and campaign objectives. 
  • Track and interpret social media analytics, providing reports on content performance, audience demographics, and engagement trends to optimize future content. 
  • Actively research platform updates, algorithm changes, and competitive trends, ensuring Core Spaces and New Here Coffee stay ahead in the digital landscape. 
  • Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ideally, you'll have

  • A college student or recent graduate with a passion for social media, marketing, and digital content. 
  • Deeply immersed in pop culture and trending topics, with a keen eye for what’s driving online conversation and engagement. 
  • Experienced in content creation, with a strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and any other emerging platforms. 
  • Skilled in photography and videography (bonus points if you have experience with editing apps like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Suite). 
  • Excited about travel and exploring new cities to create engaging, location-specific content. 
  • A creative thinker who loves experimenting with trends and finding innovative ways to showcase brands. 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
