Based on our internal equity review process, the starting salary for this position will be $20.45.The current full hourly range for this position is $20.45 - $31.23.
Culinary Instructors with Parks Tacoma have the opportunity to teach cooking skills to members of our community. Join our team working in one of our community centers as well as our Mobile Teaching Kitchen, and teach a variety of culinary styles from cooking regional dishes (Taste of Italy), to family classes (Family Cooking Class), to kids classes (Kids in the Kitchen Cooking) and more! Instructors will primarily teach a group of no more than 10 students (we offer classes for all ages). Day to day tasks include creating shopping lists, preparing the kitchen, teaching the class, and cleaning up. Other duties may include teaching summer camps or cooking for different Parks Tacoma events. Applicants should be prepared to travel to all four of our community centers to teach as well as different locations in the Mobile Teaching Kitchen.
