Job Description Summary
Provide leadership in the application of Continuous Improvement Principles and Methods to drive Little Chute toward optimization and improved efficiency. Work with leadership to identify opportunities, execute action plans, follow-up and ensure achievement of enterprise goals. Responsible for methodology, training, coaching and assessing in regards to PCS and Continuous Improvement deployment at the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Works effectively in an environment of change. Working collaboratively with customers, suppliers, teammates and support areas in a blameless environment.
· Builds relationships and reputations cross functionally to achieve business results through influence and leadership.
· Works with business areas to develop Current State Maps and Future State Plans. Executes the plans and follows-up to ensure that changes are sustained and evaluated for effectiveness.
· Provides aid to teams to prioritize improvement opportunities on tactical planning objectives to maximize waste reduction.
· Oversees projects to completion with identified team leads.
· Supervises individuals in the execution of process improvement activities and monitoring of performance to standard work throughout Operations.
· Develops others on Lean principles and tools for implementing creative solutions for system and process improvements.
· Standard Work, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Ergonomics, SMED, 5-S, 3P, Kanban, Time Studies, Takt Time, 8 Wastes, Six Sigma.
· Coordinates and / or facilitates administrative or operations related Lean kaizen activities.
· Plans and schedules of future events.
· Assures open communications and involvement of employees who work in the process.
· Coordination and periodic updates of progress.
· Guides team leaders to accomplish tasks with given resources and stays motivated and focused to prioritize activities.
· Facilitates and guides all team members of Kaizens through conflict resolution and maintains lean principle guidelines.
· Uses Lean techniques to perform process reviews and aids in establishing standardized work procedures .
· Keeps teams on target to achieve SMART goals and ensuring that teams respond quickly to arising issues .
· Works with plant management to maintain Scorepop database.
· Responsible for maintaining Check Weigh database used to gather piece weights, downtime and production quantities.
· All other duties as assigned.

· Follow all food safety procedures.
· Maintains a sanitary and safe work area; performs housekeeping duties as necessary and/or required.
· Detects potentially hazardous conditions and problems and takes appropriate action to report and/or correct.
Knowledge/Education
Minimum degree and experience required:
· Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience.
· 3-5 years of production or logistics experience in a manufacturing setting.
· Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, and a thorough knowledge of lean principles and processes, 2 plus years of experience directly in Continuous Improvement preferred.

Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in a manufacturing environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Occasional travel may be required.
