Job Summary

The Inclusive History Project (IHP) Program Staff will provide administrative, programmatic, and meetings and events support for the IHP. The IHP is housed within the National Center for Institutional Diversity, a unit of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Responsibilities*

  • Providing meeting and event support, including scheduling meetings, developing slide presentations, taking minutes, and booking travel, accommodation, and transportation for special meetings and events.
  • Organizing, updating, and maintaining program records (including event photographs, mailing lists, etc.) in spreadsheets, Google drive, and databases
  • Helping to coordinate and execute marketing and communications projects, including drafting communications, making website content updates, and developing and editing social media posts
  • Providing general support with day-to-day program operations as needed

This position is based in Ann Arbor, MI, and is hybrid, with frequent work required on site.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ year's experience providing administrative or project support
  • Experience with event planning and/or support

Other helpful skills you may have or want to learn:

  • Marketing and communications, including graphic design and website maintenance
  • Community outreach and engagement
