Grow your career as Group Sales Consultant within ALG Vacations. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for selling group vacations and executing our sales plan in a fast-paced environment to ensure we are meeting our customers’ needs and maximizing our revenue potential. The Group Sales Consultant plays an important role in quoting groups and securing the sales, as well as guiding travel agents through the group process and building the relationship. As the frontline of Group Sales, you will be dedicated to providing best-in-class sales and customer service on all travel agent group opportunities. Best of all, No cold-calling, only inbound group requests and emails from potential customers and outbound calls and emails to existing customers! Additionally, there are great career growth opportunities to move into our Group Account team or into more specialized positions within our Group Operations and Service teams.
Essential Functions:
· Serve as the primary point-of-contact for customers to prepare group quotes, generate contracts, assist with in-destination requirements, or perform other similar duties.
· Manage new and active leads through CRM.
· Work with customers to develop appropriate itineraries to satisfy their group needs.
· Present quote information to customers in a professional manner and secure the sale.
· Respond to group vacation inquiries on a timely basis.
· Consistent follow-up communication with customers every 24-48 hours.
· Confirm rates and inventory with suppliers prior to group finalization.
· Meet sales goals and expectations as established by leadership.
· Build customer loyalty and maintain strong relationships with customers, agencies, and suppliers.
· Answer incoming calls and emails via the group communication channels as needed.
· Attend training sessions to build or maintain product knowledge, including processes and terms and conditions.
· Provide assistance and backup to team members within the Groups Department.
· Take pride and strive for excellence in responding the same day to all communications and phone calls.
· Identify opportunities to streamline our process and group products.
· Set a great example by being a top performer and consistently receiving positive marketplace feedback by providing high-level customer service.

Qualifications:
· Associates Degree or equivalent, or two (2) plus years of relevant experience in travel, group sales, event and/or wedding planning; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
· Good time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
· Strong understanding of the groups workflow process.
· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to contribute to results driven and team-oriented environment.
· Ability to work independently in a home-office environment free of distractions.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Ability to meet and/or exceed established sales targets.
· Experience working in Salesforce or a similar CRM.
· Strong ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs.

The pay range for this position is an hourly rate of $18.08 to $21. This position is also eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, or incentive awards.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
