Responsibilities
As Footwear Inventory Manager, this position will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy across the company in the footwear category and executing the overall footwear distribution strategy. This would include execution and accuracy of both e-commerce and store distribution. This position will oversee the day-to-day problem solving of footwear inventory issues along with monitoring processes at the store level.
- Manage and execute footwear distribution to stores
- Maintain footwear inventory accuracy across all locations
- Work with Distribution Manager to establish distribution and operational policies
- Assist merchandise team in creating processes to ensure model inventory levels
- Establish and maintain a fun and positive work environment for distribution staff
- Support all Fleet Feet initiatives, activities and functions
- Work schedule will be based upon the demands of the business. In a typical week, this position will work five (5) days out of the distribution center with occasional store visits to assist with inventories. Some weekend shifts will be required to meet operational needs. In addition, during key company events additional time in the retail stores and/or offsite will be required
Qualifications
- 3+ years of operations experience preferred
- Strong business acumen and retail industry knowledge preferred
- Strong ability to coach and influence without direct authority
- Ability to think strategically about issues and opportunities to properly assess impacts

Additional Requirements - Hours of work for this position may vary based on work schedule. Position requires moving around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break task sequencing, and using point-of-sale computers. Occasional moderate to heavy (10-25+lb) lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required. Work environment includes substantial communication with customers, working in a retail environment with product displays and stockroom with inventory, and potentially slippery surfaces.
