The Ladies Professional Golf Association is currently seeking a part time FM Championship Volunteer Services Intern. You’ll join a driven and dynamic team of individuals in executing this world-class sporting event responsible for bringing professional Golf back to New England. As a Volunteer Services Intern, you will be responsible for the management and execution of the FM Championship’s volunteer program. You will serve as the main point of contact for 400+ volunteers who are key to ensuring that our event is run flawlessly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as main contact for 400+ event volunteers
- Manage recruitment, training and coordination of volunteers as well as the online volunteer database for scheduling management and communication plans
- Oversee Volunteer HQ set up, including F&B, and volunteer services
- Assist with community events and local outreach
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability and willingness to gain expertise and perform work in new areas.
- Proficient in written and oral communication to effectively coordinate and manage Tournament logistics.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Flexibility to assist with areas of the Tournament as needed.
- Collaborative nature, demonstrating enthusiasm for all tasks and projects.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
INTERNSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be currently enrolled as a college/graduate student. Recent grads will also be considered.
- Progress toward a degree, major, or minor relevant to the internship.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Available to work in Boston, Massachusetts from June 2 – September 1
