We are seeking a Financial Manager to join our Enterprise Operations Strategic Finance Office (SFO) team. This role is a critical partner to business leaders, providing financial analysis, strategic insights, and operational support to drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic finance professional with strong analytical skills, the ability to navigate complex financial structures, and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders. While this role has no direct reports, the Financial Manager will provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Provide leadership in the development, design, implementation and on-going management of assigned financial analysis processes. Provide training and guidance to subordinates with respect to understanding, analyzing and reporting financial activity and metrics. Monitor assigned activities for compliance with established corporate and accounting policies and standards. Complete and/or review and interpret a variety of complex financial and/or business analyses of financial ratios, trends, revenue performance and expense management. Communicate deadlines and data submission requirements to other departments to ensure timely and accurate preparation of such analyses. Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of senior management. Identify potential new business strategies and/or ideas; analyze alternatives and present recommendations to senior leadership. Provide financial analysis for projects/initiatives with potential financial reporting impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop and manage financial forecasts, budget models, and variance analyses. Collaborate across stakeholders on capacity planning structure and key volume drivers

2. Expense Management: Track and analyze key expense drivers, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.

3. Business Partnership: Act as a trusted financial advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.

4. Performance Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly performance reviews, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trend analyses.

5. Strategic Initiatives: Support enterprise-wide initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

6. Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor junior finance professionals Foster knowledge sharing within the team and leverage technical tools to gain efficiency. Develop relationships across various SFO teams to better collaborate on volume drivers and cost allocation enhancements.

7. Risk & Compliance Awareness: Ensure financial processes align with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.

8. Take a new perspective on existing solutions to propose innovative solutions.

9. Prepare and review materials to senior leadership summarizing issues and communicating solutions.

10. Review monthly financial close, monthly forecasting and annual financial planning processes for accuracy and reasonableness, including entries for month-end close, forecast updates, and Plan development.
11. Update and automate retrieval of financial information via the use of simple spreadsheets to more complex databases and reporting templates.
12. Develop and perform testing of economic models as necessary. Maintain necessary documentation of source data, ensuring adequate support of data integrity.
13. Subject matter expert on regulatory reporting requirements, business cycles, origination channels and accounting flow for assigned area of responsibility.
14. Maintain working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), building expertise related to assigned area of responsibility.
15. Deepen understanding of more complex accounting, profitability, regulatory, and business segment nuances, including cost allocation methodology, funds transfer pricing, and vendor contracts.
16. Coordinate with internal and external audits and examinations (responses to External and Regulatory requests are to be made in collaboration with Accounting Policy).
17. Assist in risk management governance and business continuity planning processes as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent education and related training.
2. Five years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis.
3. Ability to take direction and then work independently to complete tasks while considering broader implications or necessary additional analysis.
4. Communication & Influence: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

5. Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment, supporting and guiding junior team members while building relationships with senior leaders.

6. Problem-Solving: Proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges, with the ability to think critically and drive continuous improvement.
7. Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
8. Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products
