Co-op Opportunity: Financial Analysis & Analytics | Berklee
Are you a student with a passion for numbers, data storytelling, and mission-driven work? Berklee is seeking a Financial Analysis & Analytics Co-op to join our dynamic Budget and Planning team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial modeling and data analysis while contributing to Berklee’s mission to empower artists to create, innovate, and lead in music and the performing arts.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Director of Budget and Planning, with a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer, the Co-op will support critical financial projects aimed at optimizing budget effectiveness and resource allocation. You’ll help bring greater financial transparency to Berklee by collecting and analyzing data from various systems, building comparative models, and presenting insights that support informed, data-driven decisions.
You’ll also play a key role in developing high-level assumptions that guide the college’s overall budget strategy. Whether you’re modeling data to evaluate academic programs or supporting the financial planning of new initiatives—such as global partnerships or innovative degree programs—you’ll help move Berklee’s mission forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and synthesize data from multiple systems and sources
Build and visualize analytical models to support budget planning
Assist in the development of financial proformas for new initiatives
Support strategic financial analysis and scenario modeling
Contribute to reporting and presentations for senior leadership
Who You Are:
A student with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Business Analysis, or a related field
Skilled in Excel, data visualization tools, and eager to learn new technologies
Analytical, organized, and curious about how data shapes decisions
Comfortable working with large, diverse datasets
A strong communicator and collaborative team player
Flexible and positive, with a desire to contribute to meaningful, student-centered work
