Overview
The Extrusion Lead will report to the Extrusion Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Operation of a mill to combine starting raw materials
- Operation of extruders and associated production equipment
- In-process dimensional measurements using precision instruments
- Responsible for following SOPs and safety procedures
- Responsible for area cleanliness and inspection readiness
- Ability to hold team accountable for production, safety, and quality.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, must speak English and have 20/20 or corrected 20/20 vision
- Typical hours of operation are 2:00p-10:30p, M-F
- A minimum of 40hr/week is required, some overtime is necessary
Qualifications
Position provides leadership, guidance and direction to staff in alignment with extrusion requirements.

- Responsible for effective utilization and tracking of materials.
- Will be involved in identifying root causes of production issues, and help in resolving them.
- Ensure staff had adequate training in department manufacturing processes.
- Ensure staff is trained in tooling care and storage.
- Proactively identifies areas for continuous improvement and drives those into the process.
- Compliance with all aspects of Repligen’s Quality Management system and Quality Policy.
- Ability to train all team members in all aspects of product manufacturing within the department.
- Follow and uphold any new and or changed company policies.
- Ability to hold team members accountable for safety violations, poor production, or other issues that disrupt production.
- Review and approve vacation requests and timecards submitted by employees.
- Complete annual reviews for your team members.
- Understanding of level I, II, and III production requirements.
- Ability to learn SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word.

The estimated hourly rate/salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $26/Hr. -$32/Hr. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
