In this vital role, you'll oversee custodial operations across city buildings and facilities, ensuring they're clean, safe, and welcoming to employees and the public. You'll be the go-to person for coordinating contracted housekeeping services, maintaining high standards, and keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day housekeeping operations across city facilities
• Manage vendor relationships and serve as the main point of contact for environmental service contractors
• Ensure all cleaning services meet the City's Housekeeping Cleaning Standards and Customer Care Standards
• Perform routine site inspections and quickly address any issues
• Assist with developing and managing contracts, budgets, and supply inventories
• Recommend and help implement efficient cleaning techniques and work processes
• Support the recruitment, training, and coaching of environmental services staff
• Monitor staff performance and assign tasks to ensure operational goals are met
• Keep accurate records of inspections, staffing, attendance, inventory, and expenditures
• Order supplies, uniforms, and equipment as needed
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and special city events, occasionally requiring schedule flexibility
