Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Domain Services System Administrator. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:- Deploy and manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) domain controllers
- Create and manage the directory infrastructure, including FSMO roles, trusts, and replication topology
- Create top-level OU hierarchies with standard sub-OUs, groups, and appropriate security permissions
- Manage security settings within the domain
- Implement and enforce security policies
- Apply and enforce naming conventions for objects in the domain
- User Account Management: Create, delete, and manage user accounts, reset passwords, and force password changes
- Group Management: Modify group memberships, and manage group policies
- Delegation of Control: Grant and revoke domain-wide administrative privileges
- Troubleshoot technical issues within the domain
- Develop strategies for disaster recovery
- Conduct training for all departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications
- Assist with development of recommendations for enhancing approaches for software support services.
- Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
- Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures
- Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins

Education and Experience Requirements for this Position
A technical degree in computer science, or other related IT degree, and the following experience requirements:
- High School Diploma and 8+ years of relevant experience, or
- BS/BA Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, or
- MS/MA Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Domain Services System Administration
- Strong understanding of IT principles, including operating systems, networking, and enterprise software
- Experience with Windows Workstations and Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Related experience in system administration, including system design, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow established procedures and protocols
- Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and follow-up communications
- Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance
- Any other tasks and duties, as assigned

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Other Skills (not necessarily required but will increase consideration for the position):
- Administer enterprise services like Microsoft Domains, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, WSUS, Exchange, Adaxes, Secret Server
- Perform GPO administration
- Architect OS and Software deployment with ECM
- Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance
- Experience with supporting large-scale deployments as an administrator
- Knowledge of load balancing/failover technologies
- General understanding of antivirus software
- General understanding of vulnerability scanning software
- General understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
