CPG/Retail client is seeking a Digital Designer / Production Artist focused in eCommerce to work with their team through the end of the year in a full-time basis, 40 hours per week.
This role is fully remote, but candidate should be based out of NYC for occasional visits to the office.
Digital Designer / Production Artist Duties:
- Create, retouch/edit and deliver eCommerce digital marketing assets to be used for digital commerce (i.e. product display pages, enhanced content/ A+, sponsored
advertising banners and branded storefronts)
- Apply design changes and recommendations to existing branded photography, video or still motion graphics
- Collaborate with team of graphic designers and content leads to format artwork by ensuring brand guidelines are met and creating a final deliverable that adheres to requirements
- Organize, proof and archive graphic files to ensure accuracy quality assurance prior to publication to online retailers
- Communicate design rationale, conceptual design choices and respond to cross functional feedback in Figma
- Lead projects throughout the part of the product life cycle starting with assessing the landscape design and continuing through modifications
- Coordinate mock ups of early prototypes when needed by sales or brand teams to be used across a variety of platforms and/or with external vendors
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in CPG, design agency, brand or related creative industry preferred
-Background in a high volume CPG retail
- Comfortable collaborating and holding conversations with internal stakeholders
- Comfortable with photoshoots
- BA in Computer Graphics, Communication Design, Digital Design, Graphic Design, Photography, Marketing, and/or Studio Art
- Working knowledge of Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Drive, AirTable, Premiere After Effects, Lightroom,
Procreate, Whimsical
- Deep understanding of the principles of design (i.e., color theory, unity, typography, contrast, balance, proportion, negative space, shape language, product placement etc.)
- Team player with a keen attention to detail and collaborative mindset (ability to work with multiple stakeholders)
- Ability to be flexible in an environment of constant change
- Exceptional project and time management skills, including the ability to lead multiple initiatives, handle complexity with confidence, and meet deadlines for new product development while being in an agile environment
