Description:
You will be the Production Operations Lead for one of the products within the S&GS F-35 Sensors Team. Our team is responsible for coordinating and directing efforts for all Production Operations functions, ensuring seamless integration of Production Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, and Facilities.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Operations Lead, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, collaborating with various disciplines, and driving production operations to meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments. You will partner with MFC manufacturing sites and centers to ensure alignment and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating production meetings and identifying opportunities for savings and product improvement
* Developing program schedule plans, manpower plans, and hardware support strategies * Analyzing and resolving technical and process issues
* Implementing lean initiatives and driving process improvements
* Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization via verbal and written correspondence
* Collaborating with Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, and Program Management teams
* Traveling occasionally (approximately 25%) to support production operations

Basic Qualifications:
* Must have a minimum of an active Secret security clearance
* Demonstrated history of elevated performance within Operations Management or related disciplines supporting Production or Developmental Programs
* Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
* Demonstrated history of exhibiting Full Spectrum Leadership competencies
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
* Demonstrated experience with production lines and processes
* Demonstrated ability to identify root cause and drive effective corrective actions
* Working knowledge of MRP systems
* Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
* Ability to travel approximately 25%
Desired Skills:
* Working knowledge of operations within MFC's sites and centers
* Experience with optical coatings and windows
* Extensive experience with SAP, Apriso and related production management tools
* Production planning and scheduling experience
* Budget / EVMS management experience
* Experience creating / supporting proposals
* Technical background / education in engineering or other related discipline

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
