Essential job Functions:
The Culinary and Stewarding Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the chefs and stewarding managers as well as acting as colleague relations support. The ideal candidate excels at working in a fast-paced environment where no days are alike. They will support the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Department Chefs, and Stewarding managers on a day-to-day basis. They will also be able to take direction clearly and execute at a high level while getting pulled in multiple directions. Previous hotel experience is preferred.
The Culinary Administrative Assistant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.
Essential job Functions:

Prepares PO’s and process invoices and requisitions through Birchstreet procurement management system

Assist with ordering uniforms and overseeing inventory par levels
-
Place orders through Birchstreet system
-
Submits monthly Food & Beverage accruals
-
Processes weekly payroll and creates OT reports
-
Ordering of office supplies & menu paper
-
Performs monthly audits of online menus, outlet printed collateral, and digital F&B related
-
Attends mandatory department meetings and appropriate division meetings
-
Monitors emergency kit for department
-
Communicates all pertinent information to the outlet teams
-
Ensures team submits weekly manager schedule
-
Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
-
Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule
-
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.

Must be highly detailed orientated.

Must have excellent computer skills.

Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.

Must always ensure a teamwork environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift.

Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

2-3 years prior hotel or restaurant experience is preferred.

Is a team player and interacts with all guests and fellow associates in a positive and friendly manner.

Customer Service and Food service knowledge preferred.

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing guest needs.
