About this role:
The Emerging Healthcare Technologies (EHT) group within Wells Fargo's Healthcare Corporate and Investment vertical is seeking an experienced Associate. EHT services clients ranging from start-up to early stages of growth and commercialization. The team focuses its efforts on subsectors such as Biotech/Pharma, Medical Device, Digital Health, Healthcare IT, Pharma Outsourcing, and Diagnostic & Life Sciences Tools.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, building, and growing relationships within the Emerging Healthcare ecosystem and will have frequent interactions with prospects, clients and key investors to better understand how the EHT platform could meet their business needs.
In this role, you will:
- Drive execution and implementation of new product transactions for early stage healthcare companies by collaborating and consulting with peers, internal partners and stakeholders to maximize client experience
- Support senior bankers with organizing and setting up meetings with clients and investors to drive new business opportunities for the Healthcare Corporate & Investment Banking platform
- Assist senior bankers with the creation of pitch and other marketing materials
- Represent the bank in developing and maintaining relationships with early stage investors and clients
- Proactively perform market, investor, and company diligence on early stage healthcare companies
- Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
- Present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of strategic and profitable clients through proactive and consistent business development and client retention idea generation
- Manage Venture Capital database to effectively track growth and progress with specific relationships

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Formal credit training/program
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Relevant work experience at an Investment Bank, Venture Capital Firm, Private Equity, or similar capital markets experience
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly Collaborative Team Player
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Life Sciences Background, experience or education
Job Expectations:
- FINRA Series 63, 79, and the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
