Content Creator - Hybrid
A local PR agency is looking for a Content Creator to join its team. This role is 40-hours a week and hybrid with the expectation of 2-3 days a week onsite. The long-term goal is to convert this person to salary.
This is a writing-intensive role for a creative and results-oriented content creator to join a
thriving and growing public relations agency. You will be responsible for developing engaging and
impactful content across various channels, from long-form articles and blog posts to short-form social
media posts and website copy.
Key Responsibilities include...
Content Creation & Strategy:
- Develop and execute compelling content strategies aligned with client objectives and industry trends.
- Create high-quality, informative, and engaging long-form content, including: Blog posts, articles, white papers, case studies, and other public relations needed collateral.
- Craft concise and impactful short-form content (static and dynamic), including: Social media posts (organic & paid), website copy, and engagement requests.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform content development.
- Collaborate with the content team to provide monthly metrics reports.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in content marketing.
Client Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, goals, and target audiences.
- Present content strategies and recommendations to clients effectively.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Track and analyze content performance using relevant metrics (e.g., website traffic, social media engagement, lead generation).
- Generate reports and insights to demonstrate the impact of content marketing efforts.
Teamwork & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with other team members
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications:
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in content creation and marketing.
- Proven ability to create high-quality, engaging, and informative content across various formats.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Portfolio of work demonstrating strong writing and content creation skills.
Bonus:
- Experience with content marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Hootsuite).
- Experience with paid social media advertising.
- Experience in the public relations or communications industry.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
