What You'll Do
- Greet all guests and provide a welcoming experience
- Manage all guest visits to the office
- Maintain the general appearance of the concierge area
- Stock and maintain cafe and common areas, support meeting and events as requested
- Coordinate print requests and other requests as necessary to client facing teams
- Support local office affiliation, assisting with building services requests and performing other tasks as necessary
- Answer & screen incoming calls to the Concierge desk line, including coordinating with building security team to screen unregistered visitors
- Update internal & external Microsites as directed
- Manage office and meeting room reservations
- Manage security badge inventory
- Monitor incoming emails to Concierge inbox, reply to inquiries in a timely fashion
- Maintain office documentation on processes and standard operating procedures
- Facility maintenance: daily & ad hoc
- Coordinate with local Executive Assistant teams to ensure protected space is reserved for their stakeholders
- Collect and distribute mail and packages, as well as setup outgoing Fedex deliveries
- Additional office projects and tasks as assigned
You're good at:
- Demonstrating critical thinking and interpersonal skills in an environment that requires juggling competing priorities among a variety of stakeholders
- Setting up a high standard of hospitality by providing guidance to colleagues and visitors in a concierge setting, rather than that of a traditional reception desk
- Being a focal point of contact for the office and being able to direct and facilitate internal and external inquiries related to the office
- Flexibly moving between being proactive and reactive mode with the ability to create and/or assess processes or better ways of delivering desired results
What You'll Bring
- Openness and receptiveness to meeting new people - culturally sensitive and have a passion for making guests and colleagues feel at home and welcome with a sense of pride
- High emotional intelligence and ability to control emotions, remain patient, and maintain service-oriented behavior while working efficiently in stressful situations
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experiencedesired
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a professional environment - concierge experience in a hospitality setting preferred
- Strong organizational and process management skills and are comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritizing within a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Ability to spend significant time walking and standing and to lift packages and equipment up to 30lbs.
Who You'll Work With
You are a key member of the Office Experience team responsible for the staff and visitor experience of the office. Serving as the first point of contact for clients and visitors to the BCG office, the Concierge Assistant is valued as the "Chief of First Impressions".In addition, you will provide backup assistance to other members of the Office Experience Team, especially during peak times for internal and training events as well as perform general office tasks as necessary.
This role currently requires 5 days a week in office presence. This in-office plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.
We expect total annualized compensation for New York City-based employees to be approximately the following:
- Base salary between $50,000 - $61,300 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12%
5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period - First year annualized target total compensation: $58,800 - $72,088 (USD)
