Our client, an award-winning multicultural agency, is looking for a Communications Manager to join their team full-time in NYC. This is a hybrid role and the Communications Manager will be onsite in NYC Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing both internal and external communication strategies for the Company, including managing external communication channels like social media, the website, and media relations, crafting messaging, and ensuring brand consistency across all communication materials.
As Communications Manager, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Create and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with company goals, including internal and external messaging.
- Write press releases, blog posts, newsletters, social media content, website copy, and other marketing materials to promote the company's brand and products.
- Manage relationships with journalists, respond to media inquiries, and pitch stories to generate positive press coverage.
- Recommend and manage award submissions for both creative and company work
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all communication channels including social and website development and management
- Develop and execute social media strategies to engage with target audiences and build online presence
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors, to effectively communicate company information.
- Monitor communication performance through analytics and metrics to measure effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of five years of PR, communications or agency marketing experience
- Strong range of verbal and written communication skills from press releases to social posts
- Adhere to deadlines and has excellent communication and organizational skills
- Have experience managing relationships across multiple partners, vendors, journalists and clients
- Work well in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment with tight deadlines
- Are able to manage multiple tasks and/or projects at any given time; have excellent time management
- Have excellent research, writing, and presentation skills
- Solution-oriented and pay attention to detail.
- Proactive about problem-solving and meticulous in execution of tasks.
- Resourceful, communicative team player who errs on the side of overcommunication.
- Treat others with respect, are curious and inquisitive, and know how to ask the right questions to ensure the company is operating at maximum efficiency
