40Summary:
The OR/Anesthesia Applications Manager is responsible for the management of analysts for the support and optimization of an assigned set of Epic and third party applications and resources. Maintains appropriate functionality and performance utilizing established CCHCS methodologies. These applications include, but are not limited to: perioperative and anesthesia documentation, order entry, physician documentation, bar coded med verification, CPOE, ancillary systems, sterile processing, asset tracking, etc. Responsibilities of the OR/Anesthesia Applications Manager include, but are not limited to: Communication with vendors, customers both operational and clinical, as well as Information Services. Conducts resource management activities including day-to-day assignments of workloads and schedules, prioritization of issues and tasks, and other administrative tasks such as performance reviews. Additionally, the manager will prepare and maintain annual budgets including operating and capital budget requirements for all supported clinical applications/equipment. Manages efforts which ensure safe patient care services by enabling teams to deliver clinically and technically sound solutions for customer technology needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, or Science required.
At least 8 years' of healthcare industry experience required, preferably in hospital or clinical setting OR at least 8 years' experience with clinical software and/or hardware required.
4 years of operating room experience required.
2 years of experience in a supervisory or management level role preferred; ability to demonstrate strong leadership within matrix teams.
Detailed OR/Anesthesia experience that includes, but not limited to, perioperative and anesthesia documentation, order entry, physician documentation, bar coded med verification, CPOE, ancillary systems, sterile processing, asset tracking, etc.
Epic OpTime/Anesthesia certification highly preferred.
Prior experience implementing Epic Systems preferred.
Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on-time and on-budget.
Excellent written/oral communication skills required.
Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Registered Nurse required.
Epic Certification required (Epic certification is required within 6 months from employment, including 2 test retakes).
Must maintain certification per the vendor's recertification requirements, prior to the expiration date, with 1 retake allowed.
PMP/ Project Management Certification preferred.
