Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 8:00AM-4:30PM

Summary:
Assists with implementing Child Life programming to further normal social, emotional, developmental, and physical growth of children in a health care setting. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.
Qualifications:
Required: Associate Degree in Child Development or related field or two years of successful completion of a four-year Early Childhood Education Bachelor's Degree Program. Physical ability to lift young children Ability to interact effectively with various cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: One year of experience working with hospitalized children and healthy children in a group setting. Exposure to developmentally delayed children or children with limited mobility. Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. Standing and walking at least 75% of the time; sitting less than 25% of the time. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Hand and finger dexterity and reaching with arms and hands at least 75% of the time. Pushing and pulling at least 75% of the time. Lifting 5-25 pounds, carrying 5-10 pounds and pushing up to 75 pounds See in the normal visual range with or without correction and Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to communicate face-to-face, via phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
