As a Chemical Process Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing chemical processes to meet the needs of our customers. You will utilize your expertise in chemical engineering principles to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our Chickasaw, AL location 100% on-site.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on the success of our products and processes. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of new products. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will contribute to the efficiency, quality, and safety of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize chemical processes to meet customer requirements
- Participate in site HSE and process safety management programs, including management of change, process hazard analysis, root cause analysis/incident investigations, and development of standard operating procedures
- Analyze data, troubleshoot and identify trends for optimization using PI, DCS, Minitab and other data collection processes
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations
- Provide technical expertise and support to ensure the efficiency and quality of processes
- Bridge multiple layers of organization between management and front-line workers to deliver plant safety and production objectives
- Mentor and train operations staff on unit design and intended/optimal operation. Assist operations department in troubleshooting plant operations issues

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related fieldsuch as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in chemical process engineering
