Job Summary
This role will report directly to the Head of Business Management, Transaction Banking, and matrix to the dual-hat role of Head of TB Americas and Cash Product.
This role will provide representation for the Head of TB Americas Cash in collectively achieving Transaction Banking goals, and will support delivery of regional business performance, drive the TB Americas people agenda (working closely with the other TB business managers) and ensure delivery against strategy support resolution of critical business issues.
The role holder will have a big picture mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to challenge ideas and develop solutions. The role holder will also be familiar with TB clients and industry events. The role is inherently varied and reflects the changing demands and responsibilities of the Head of TB Americas Cash Product, therefore the role holder must be adaptable and able to manage across priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Representation for Head of TB Americas Cash
- Act as a key point of contact for the Head of TB Americas Cash, facilitating engagement, communication, challenge, and alignment.
- Support the Head of TB Americas Cash in understanding and overseeing the various initiatives and activities underway across the region and global market management, challenging outputs where required, and keeping them abreast of updates.
- Provide decision facilitation for the Head of TB Americas Cash, and whilst reconciling business challenges in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy of all materials produced for the attention of the Head of TB Americas Cash providing review, challenge and follow-up.
- Create an environment which rewards forward planning, prioritisation, and deadline management in the Americas.
- Work closely with the Executive Assistant for the Head of TB Americas Cash to ensure effective use of time.
- Work on everyday action items that supports the effectiveness of Head of TB Americas Cash and delivery of thought leadership.
- Lead on the development of frameworks to drive TB client event agendas consistently across markets.
- Support the business agenda for global events catered for TB client segments, to include roundtables, training academies, etc. Partnering with Marketing Teams for delivery.
- Coordinate the TB external awards programme across stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Communication, Product, Implementation, Service, Coverage, Compliance, Operations, etc).
- Support the coordination and delivery of market research and client feedback surveys, working with internal and external research partners, providing analysis and recommendations for TB opportunities.
Day-to-Day Tasks
TB Americas Business - BPM Responsibilities
- Deliver against key priorities for the Transaction Banking business in Americas, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders across CIB, and helping bring the "voice" of the footprint region to the global TBMT.
- Responsible for preparations for all MT meetings and committees, ensuring materials highlight key matters and enable decisions.
- Support the collective delivery of the pan-TB agenda across all business lines - Cash, Trade, Sales, Implementation, revenue and cost targets, people initiatives, and overall strategic goals.
- Support and drive overall cohesion across the TB businesses, underpinning all activity with a "OneTB" mentality.
- Support budgeting, HC planning and delivery against financial and capital commitments throughout the financial year. This will include data analysis and presenting detailed recommendations and scenario planning.
- Review MIS from Finance teams and make recommendations to manage business cost and performance accordingly.
- Develop and track key measures of performance and success, to drive continuous improvement and alignment to corporate plan in EA.
- Coordinate and support business engagements with other teams / partners across TB, CIB and WRB.
- As a member of the BPM team within Transaction Banking, partner with other BPMs to share ideas and best practices for delivering against common goals.
TB Americas People Agenda
- Lead the design and delivery of relevant Management Team meetings, ensuring effective meeting agendas and facilitation.
- Handle sensitive information, ensuring effective response and resolution.
- Coordinate specific people plan projects/ initiatives for TB teams in Americas, in partnership with the Head of Business Management for TB and the TB HR Business Partner.
- Support the delivery of MIS to meet the needs of the business, across talent management, year-end processes, learning/development plans, staff surveys, etc.

Recruitment Assessments
Expected annual base pay range for the role is 135,000 USD to 180,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
