We are hiring Financial Data Analyst!

Role: Financial Data Analyst

Supporting: Large Financial Services Client

Location: Hybrid - Tuesday through Thursday - McLean, VA

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Data Analyst with a robust background in finance, particularly in mortgage financing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing systems and dependencies, implementing data quality controls, and performing data analysis and modeling using tools like Excel and VB. Effective communication within wider architectural initiatives is essential, as the role involves conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders. This position requires 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in mortgage financing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, finance, economics, statistics, or related fields.
• 5+ years of work experience, with knowledge of mortgage financing being highly desirable.
• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
• Data processing skills, including Excel, VBA, and Python.
• Familiarity with Unix operating systems and shell scripts.
• Deep curiosity to learn and strong critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, data analysis abilities, and the capability to work independently to identify and solve problems.
