JOB SUMMARYProduces reports or package of reports utilizing databases, data assets, applications and more to provide information to business leaders. Reports may be in the form of standardized dashboards or customized views of data upon request. Ensures data pulled is consistent with business needs/requests. Applies knowledge of the business to customize reports and deliver meaningful information. Reviews reports to identify data integrity issues and provides feedback to application/database administrators to ensure any issues are addressed. Answers questions from end-users of reports to provide additional context. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of data during the transfer from source systems into business unit data assets Applies a comprehensive understanding of data processes/flows and concepts to implement frameworks, processes, controls, models, and solutions for business unit. Be able to set the standards / apply data for fit for use when applying data into business decisions. Drives out the identification and mitigation of data issues as necessary to support organization priorities. Identifies and champions the implementation of data process and practice improvements. Lead automation for all deliverables with process efficiency and effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Lead business analysis efforts for projects related to finance and regulatory reporting. Using SAS , SQL etc. , conduct exploratory data analysis, data profiling, investigate data errors, generate ad-hoc reports, validate data as part of user acceptance testing.
2. Partner with technology and architecture team for system functionality enhancements , research, analyze, design, and/or maintain data sources in information systems in support of projects, information needs, and changing requirements
3. Apply deep understanding of data integration process and participate in large/complex data warehouse initiatives, design discussions, and prototype review.
4. Perform analysis, validation and interpretation of reporting outputs.
5. Responsible for identifying Critical data elements, developing business rules, reconciliation checks, measuring data quality. Identify the data quality issues and data gaps in the current organization environment, analyze the root cause for data issues and provide data quality improvement solutions.
6. Work with Regulatory reporting team and help translate reporting instructions into functional business requirements.
7. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
8. Applies a comprehensive understanding of how the organization operates to solve technical, operational, and business problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge within a professional discipline.

4. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
5. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree or MBA and 10 years of related experience.
2. Previous experience in the banking industry.
3. Proficiency with SAS and SQL.
4. Experience with Data Integration, Extraction, Transformation, and Loading
5. Understanding of Data Management/Governance principles.
6. BI reporting experience.
