We are seeking a Web Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of our company websites. This position is focused on the analysis, design, and execution of testing, primarily to ensure content quality before it goes live. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to detect and resolve defects, validate content accuracy, and provide feedback to improve user experiences. Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset are essential, as you will regularly interact with technical, marketing, and creative teams.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and Monitor Site Quality: Evaluate and monitor website performance data and recommend solutions for enhancing internal and external user experiences.
- Content Analysis: Validate and analyze search phrasing, category relationships, and product content for appropriate results.
- Customer Feedback Analysis: Analyze customer comments and feedback for trends and actionable insights to inform website improvements.
- Content Validation: Ensure the website's content aligns with the weekly marketing calendar and relevant schedules.
- Defect Tracking: Log and track defects in the Test Director defect tool and communicate them to the appropriate owner.
- Defect Communication: Relay defects and issues to technical, marketing, or creative teams to ensure swift resolution.
- Weekly Status Reports: Provide management with weekly reports detailing the current status of testing, identified defects, and resolutions.
- Escalation of Unresolved Issues: Escalate issues that are not resolved within the expected time frame.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Attend business operations and strategy meetings to stay aligned on planning and priorities.
- Continuous Site Scanning: Continuously scan the website for defects, broken links, and poor user experience.
- Recommend Improvements: Proactively suggest website changes aimed at improving user experience and boosting corporate sales.
Technical Skillsets and Requirements:
- Web Application Testing Knowledge: At least 3 years of working knowledge in web applications and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Testing Tools Expertise: Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Test Director, Jira, or similar).
- Client/Server Technology Understanding: Familiarity with client/server technology testing and integration.
- Content Quality Assessment: Ability to assess content for accuracy, consistency, and relevance, ensuring it aligns with both marketing and user experience standards.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to evaluate search phrasing, content categories, and customer feedback to improve website functionality.
- MS Office Proficiency: High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, including technical, marketing, and creative departments.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly for defect tracking, status reporting, and escalating issues.
- Service-Oriented Mindset: A customer-focused mindset to ensure that content quality meets internal and external expectations.
