This is a hyrbid role. You must be willing to commute 3 days a week to Burbank, CA.
The Bilingual Proofreader is responsible for ensuring consistent application of copy standards for all health education materials and collateral developed to support the diverse member audience. The Bilingual Proofreader will proofread, conduct fact check, and provide copy edit support for health education projects for brand editorial style, accuracy, and appropriateness. The Bilingual Proofreader will work in collaboration with department Senior Editors, Senior Graphic Designers, Consultant Teams, and other local medical center or regional staff.
Experience:
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills, with minimum three years of related editorial experience
- Experience in diverse range of projects including but not limited to print publications, marketing, and/or in-house communications
- Working knowledge of proofreading and copy editing practices and resources
- Understanding of production in a print publications environment
- Creative problem solving and interpersonal skills – Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
Top Three things Worker will be doing:
- Focused on Spanish editing for health education materials
- Working with vendor to coordinate translation and prep for submission
- Working directly with client and production team to ensure timely delivery of material
Top Three Skillsets needed:
- Ability to communicate with team in virtual setting
- Collaboration with clients/stakeholders in flexible manner to adhere to timelines, etc
- Strong project management and time management overseeing her/his portfolio of projects to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Must be bilingual/bicultural, health background would be helpful, and strong Spanish language and cultural knowledge
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.00 to $45.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
