Full Job Description
The Marketing Operations team serves as a central consultation and execution hub across the entire SEI organization, driving alignment and establishing best practices for the execution and delivery of go-to-market tactics. The Associate Email Developer resides within Marketing Operations and serves as a subject-matter expert on email campaign execution, email tools and technologies. The Associate Email Developer may use multiple email technologies including Oracle Eloqua, Pardot, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as deliverability and customization tools to develop branded email marketing campaigns and automated programs that drive business results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver ad-hoc email sends
  • Participate in kickoff meetings to ensure understanding of campaign and communication goals, provide guidance around email best practices, and provide insight into previous results.
  • Build, edit, test, schedule, launch, and analyze email campaigns.
  • Execute A/B testing strategies for email campaigns and programs.
  • Collaborate on complex automated email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the project team (project manager, data analyst, and creative) to determine list characteristics, choose templates, suggest flow, and provide insight and guidance.
  • Assist with quality assurance testing to validate performance for email campaigns and programs.
  • Stay current on industry standards and best practices to assure campaign value and enhance client experiences.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ideate and enhance life-cycle email campaigns for university audiences.
  • Ensure email communication meets the expectations of our brand identity and regulatory standards.

  • Familiarity with current email standards and upcoming trends and technology.
  • Basic understanding of the intricacies and nuances between email providers and platforms (Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, etc).
  • Knowledge of email construction, including HTML and experience working in an HTML editor (MJML experience a plus).
  • Familiarity with SQL and AmpScript is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and software quickly.

Work Experience:

  • 1-2 years of email marketing experience
  • Familiarity with working on a geographically distributed/hybrid team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience

Other:

  • Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 – 20%) or Capella Core Faculty (5 – 10%).
  • Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
  • If offsite or hybrid role, must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
  • Faculty and Federal Work Study roles require access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including computer, privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.

  • Must be able to meet critical thinking and problem solving aspects aligned to job duties, as well as effectively communicating with co-workers.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant. Accommodations related to schedule may be considered.

$49,600.00 - $74,400.00 - Salary
