GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

As the Associate Development Officer for Planned Giving, you will plan and execute stewardship events for prospective estate donors. In collaboration with Legal and Finance, you will assist with processing estate administration and gifts. You will prepare gift acknowledgments, facilitate donor correspondence and assist with developing marketing and informational materials for solicitations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Plans and executes all PG-related events (on and off-site), coordinating with Design, Printing Services, Mailhouse, Special Events, curatorial departments, Directors Office ,Development Events and Capital Campaign teams

  • Works with Senior Development Officer on estate administration process in conjunction with the General Counsel's Office and Finance

  • Assists donors and prospects with inquiries and follow up.

  • Develop relationships with potential planned giving donors and facilitate stewardship with the planned and estate giving group.

  • Prepares and drafts gift acknowledgements and other donor correspondence

  • Oversee calendar management for Deputy Chief Development Officer.

  • Assists in the development of marketing and informational materials and preparation of large mailings and emails, coordinating with Design, Printing Services, and Mailhouse

  • Maintains tracking systems for estate administration, prospecting, stewardship, and gifts

  • Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or equivalent experience in Fundraising, Legal Administration, or Estate Planning required

  • 3 years of prior development or fundraising experience preferred

  • Excellent clerical skills essential, including diplomatic phone manner

  • Attention to detail critical

  • Computer literacy required

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to work well with others

  • Knowledge of business writing and correspondence

  • Background in Development a plus

COMPENSATION RANGE:

  • Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 / Annually

  • The advertised pay scale reflects the good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role. The advertised pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage for any specific employee. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, special licensing or qualifications, and other factors.
