Help bring events to life while gaining valuable experience in event scheduling-all in the beautiful setting of Marymoor Park.About the Role: The Assistant Event Scheduler supports the Marymoor Park Event Coordinator by helping schedule and permit small to medium events at Marymoor Park and nearby King County trails. This role handles reservations, collects required documents, processes payments in ActiveNet, and communicates with event organizers to ensure smooth execution. The position also provides general park information and resolves customer service issues.
About the Team: The Assistant Event Scheduler role is part of the Marymoor Business Unit which is an administrative workgroup tasked with providing customer service to park users. At 640 acres, Marymoor Park is cherished by King County residents of all ages and interest for the myriad of year-round recreation opportunities it offers and its rich, natural setting in a highly populated area.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers, permit holders and third-party partners in-person, via email and on the phone.
- Process facility use requests for small and medium events in ActiveNet and produce use agreements.
- Monitor Marymoor Rentals email inbox and respond as needed to ensure timely communication.
- Collect payment and required documents such as insurance, site layouts, route maps or special permits and follow up to assure timely remittal.
- Assist in management of event concessionaires and document collection for permit processing.
- Collaborate with Events Coordinator and Marymoor Park Maintenance to assure facilities are available and prepped for the event.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications You Bring:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint and OneDrive.
- Experience in ActiveNet or similar scheduling system.
- Ability to draft effective routine business correspondence such as email and other general documents.
- Demonstrated skill in providing and following oral and written instructions.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining positive work relationships with co-workers.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with strong analytical abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Supplemental Information
Working Conditions:
- Work Location: Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE in Redmond, WA
- Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position will vary depending on park activities but will average is about 20 hours per week. Occasional evening or week-end hours may be required. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.
- Physical Requirement: Position may require long hours outdoors in all types of weather
