Job Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for performing manufacturing and assembly operations, including grinding, cutting, gluing and cleaning rubber and metal parts with a focus on quality.


Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized assembly area and grinding workstation
  • Keep tools free of contamination
  • Use proper PPE as noted in the employee handbook and as required based on the task
  • Coordinate with the Assembly Supervisor to ensure completion of shop orders to best serve our customers
  • Manufacturing of seals and Roxtec solutions including grinding, assembly, gluing, cleaning and inspecting
  • Product packaging and labeling as required
  • Report exact time spent at each work-center on the corresponding shop order
  • Maintain order paperwork and turn them into the Assembly Supervisor when work is complete
  • Basic inspection of completed assemblies and kits
  • Notify the responsible lead/supervisor of defects seen during course of work
  • Other grinding, cutting, gluing, sanding, assembly, or cleaning duties as required
  • Other manufacturing, inspection and coordination tasks as required


Education and Experience

  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • English communication ability both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills, a plus
  • Good organizational skills, a plus
  • Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds, stand for hours at a time, stoop, bend and complete repetitive actions for long periods of time
  • Ability to use basic measuring & inspection tools such as: measuring tape, square, and calipers
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks
  • Be quality focused and maintain a positive attitude
