Position Overview
Core Spaces is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in Chicago. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing our FP&A system, Pigment, and supporting enterprise-wide reporting, forecasting, and analysis. You will work with large and complex data sets, maintain structured financial models, and help deliver accurate, insightful analysis to Core’s executive leadership team.

What You Will Do
- Manage and maintain financial data within Core’s FP&A system, Pigment, by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper structure across multiple business units and data sources. Utilize Accounting data from Yardi to prepare actual result file.
- Assist in building and updating dashboards, reports, and financial models within Excel & Pigment to support forecasting, budgeting, and leadership reporting.
- Analyze large financial data sets to prepare reporting used to identify key financial trends, variances, and performance drivers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Accounting, investments, various department leaders) to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and translate business activity into financial outputs.
- Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis across the P&L and develop clear, actionable insights for executive presentations.
- Help design and maintain data processes and frameworks that support scalable, accurate forecasting and scenario modeling.
- Assist with expense budgeting throughout the organization with exception of Payroll.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, streamline workflows, and enhance the usability of Pigment for the broader finance and business teams.
- Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
Ideally, you'll have
- 0–3 years of experience in Corporate FP&A or accounting, financial analysis, or a similar data-heavy finance role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with Excel; experience with cloud-based FP&A tools (Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive, etc.) is a plus.
- Comfort working with large datasets, financial models, and data integration processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate data into business insights.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually. Final salary within this range will depend on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Additional Compensation: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, typically ranging between 10% of base salary annually, depending on individual and organizational performance. |
