Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist - 2-phase cooling
The Advanced R&D Engineer Scientist will be responsible developing advanced two-phase cooling technologies for data centers. This engineer will support development of internal modeling and simulation tools, experiments to support the growth of the Refrigerants business. The engineer needs to effectively communicate technical information to industry and customers to assist their transition to new environmentally safer refrigerant substitutes.

This job will facilitate design, development, and testing to meet project objectives faster and more efficiently and you develop and commercialize products & technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and advance thermal management technologies for data centers, focusing on single-phase and two-phase direct-to-chip cooling systems.
* Design, source, build, and operate testbeds and proof-of-concept systems, analyzing thermal and computational performance with a deep understanding of underlying physics.
* Serve as the local expert in evaluating thermal performance, and electrical/computational performance criteria.
* Conduct simulations, thermal-mechanical analysis, CFD modeling, and statistical Design of Experiments to optimize system performance.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to drive novel cooling technologies, ensure high scientific rigor, and deliver solutions with industry-leading performance.
The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000-$120,000 Please note that this
salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various
factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and
responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education
and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
You must have
* Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in research OR
* 5+ years of experience working for manufacturers of thermal systems, electronics cooling. OR
* 5+ years of research experience in an academic setting that works closely with the industry

* Knowledge/experience on the design/development of thermal systems
* Good understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and two-phase cooling.
* Ability to do both experimental and theoretical work
* Experience in working on global project teams is preferred
* Excellent verbal and communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to drive technology commercialization is a plus
