Job Title: Accounting Specialist (This position is US Remote)

Essential Function: Computes, classifies, and records numerical data to keep records complete. Performs any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain necessary data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Primary Duties
25%
- Verifying store POS sales to bank records and reconciliation to GL.
- Utilizes various accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Debits, credits, and totals accounts on spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
20%
- Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using electronic journals and ledgers. Codes items according to company procedures.
- Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to daily POS sales.

- Accesses financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years' experience in Accounting or related field
- Intermediate experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in Oracle and ReconNet preferred
- Experience with comparing multiple documents o sales files
- Experience in preparing and processing journal entries
- Ability to proficiently operate 10-key

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
- The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
