Job Title:  Boiler Operator

Summary: To operate, maintain, and service boilers, air compressors, chillers, hydraulic pumps, clarifiers, and cooling towers. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and service boilers, air compressors, chillers, hydraulic pumps, clarifiers, and cooling towers.
• Rebuild worn pumps, valves, and repair or replace piping systems.
• Assist other team members in providing information or collecting data relative to the plant services.
• Maintain an inventory of parts and reorder supplies.
• Perform chemical treatment for all systems. Required to maintain work records (work orders, PM's, Materials and parts) on computerized Maintenance system.

Requirements:

• Must possess a Mass 2nd Class Fireman License. Must work well with others and have communication and interpersonal skills. Universal refrigeration license is a plus. 
• A minimum of 3 years experience as Boiler Operator is required. 
• Read, write and speak English.
• Follow manufacturing/equipment specifications.
• Perform basic math calculations.
• Use a computer, blueprints and schematics.
• Use/understand measuring devices/tolerances and various hand and power tools.
• Learn and apply quality standards of workmanship/product.
• Use machine tools such as drills, lathes, millers etc.
• To obtain forklift pallet-jack and/or man-lift license.
• Pass Leadership Assessment.
